Brussels Sprouts π
Number 7 in my Simple Ways series, sprouts. Whether you love them or hate them, this is SUCH an easy way to make them taste amazing π₯
Ingredients:
Serves 6-8
600 Brussels sprouts
1 tsp sugar
Salt & pepper
Olive oil (for both the sprouts and bacon)
200g smoked streaky bacon (cut into pieces)
2 handfuls of walnuts
1 tbsp of balsamic Vinegar
Drizzle of honey
Salt
Method:
1. Rinse the sprouts, cut off the ends and cut in half. Place into a roasting tin, cover with some olive oil, some salt and pepper, and a small pinch of sugar (1 tsp). Mix together and roast in the over for 20-30 minutes until charred and cooked through.
2. In a dry pan, toast the walnuts for 5-10 minutes. Set aside.
3. In the same pan, add some olive oil and cook the bacon over a medium heat until crispy. Turn off the heat, add in the walnuts, the cooked sprouts, balsamic vinegar, a drizzle of honey and more salt to taste (depending on how salty the bacon is). Give it a good toss to combine then plate up, it’s as easy as that. Enjoy!
