The original Star Wars films presented the Jedi Order as a thing of the past, with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda simply training Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi Knight. The two wise Jedi didn’t have time to teach him about all the fun of Jedi hierarchy, because it probably wasn’t relevant to helping defeat the Empire.
The prequels sure go into it in detail though, as we see and hear about Younglings, Padawans, Masters, and more. But if you’re a little confused by all the ranks, we don’t blame you. Let’s take a look at the explanation of all of the Jedi ranks.
